tidbits about class, our blog, and day old scones

articles that made me think more about class...the first is especially fascinating. though the second might not contain anything new to you.

shira & i talked today about various visions of this blogspace- whether we'd like it to be personal or political. obv. the two are inseparable. but i'd love to hear more about what happens in your lives/ how you feel/what you're thinking. more pumpkin scones and bike rides? though i guess ive been posting mainly articles lately myself. probably because its easier to come across something moving or enlightening or well written than it is to write it.

(ooh speaking of scones! ima and i went on a spontaneous its-friday-night-and-we-have-nothing-to-do-lets-go-read-at-borders! quest, on the way up to chesnut hill i spot eight trash bags on the sidewalk outside of the bakery, i knock on the door and ask if i can take some bread, and the guy mopping the floor winks and says "i didn't see anything...." i guess some nights the bags are picked up by shelters, sometimes not so i scored some delicious loaves of heady grainy nutty bread (turned out later to be pistachio apricot, mmm) a couple of baguettes, and a ton of pastries. i froze most of it and you'd be surprised but a once-frozen danish revivified by the toaster can become once again a delicious danish. so there will actually be food at imas when we come back here)

im really and truly psyched to see you guys soon. lets actually hang out more than last time??!
